INTRODUCTION 1. ADOLESCENCE The stage of adolescence in human development is characterized as typical and complex stage. The meaning of adolescence is to emerge to achieve identity. The time is called adolescence in which there is end of childhood and after this stage the adulthood stage began. This is the period of physical and various more aspects of development. The changes occurring in this stage is responsible or plays importance in the development of personality integration. However, it is more than that. It is time to mature the mind and behavior. The length of time changes for this period of development. Adolescence may start from 9 and end at 18. It can start with 14 and can end up on 25. The word adolescence is derived from the Latin language, which means the general meaning is to increase or develop. "The word adolescence comes from the Latin word Adolescere which means to get moving or to move towards maturity. Being mature not only involves physical but also physical, mental development." There are important changes from childhood to adolescence, such as physical, mental and minor changes, is the condition of adolescence. Adolescence is the period of growth and development since the beginning of early adolescent to maturity. In this period of age from the age of ten to nineteen years of age, there are physical and emotional changes which are highly significant. Some psychologists consider it a period of 13 to 18 years, while some believe that this condition lasts for 24 years. It is that development period where rapid changes occur in all the aspects of development that is physical, psychological, emotional, cognitive development of an individual. The adolescent stage is the stage in which the adolescents decide their goals, aspirations, priorities and values. Aspirations represent a person's orientation towards particular goals and can be influenced by gender, socio-economic status and family support (Domenico & Jones, 2007).
