Anne Stokes is a fantasy artist whose passion for the genre began in her childhood after reading J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit. Her art covers a broad range of themes, from the romantic and magical enchanted forest, to fearsome dragons and the dark underworld of gothic vampires. Classical topics are reinvented with a strong design and impact, and new creatures are brought to life in a unique and eye-catching manner. The Year of the Magical Dragon is a Pagan representation of the annual cycle of seasonal festivals, consisting of the year's chief solar events and the midpoints between them.
