Waterman's debut collection was at times intensely personal, including poems about growing up in the wake of a parental split across two countries. His second does not eschew equally personal themes, but is far less self-centred and more varied, and often addresses its themes in more complicated, indirect ways. The book also takes on localized, international and contemporary topics to consider our relationships with one another more broadly and often internationally.
作者簡介
Rory Waterman was born in Belfast in 1981, grew up in rural Lincolnshire, and lives in Nottingham, where he is Senior Lecturer in English at Nottingham Trent University. His first collection of poetry, Tonight the Summer’s Over, was a Poetry Book Society Recommendation and was shortlisted for the Seamus Heaney Prize. He is also the editor of W.H. Davies, The True Traveller.
