Sherman explores time travel in television and movies through a variety of lenses. Each chapter has a particular theme, such as becoming lost in time, or travelers visiting our time, or time travel love stories. Chapters contain a great number of illustrations from film and television, and the author does a good job of making each chapter's examples fit within the thematic narrative. Of special note are the two chapters devoted to discussing the two most filmed time travel stories, A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court, and The Time Machine. The book ends with several appendices listing film and television credits, and a list of fun collections such as movies about parallel lives and time travel porn films. 作者簡介
A former Florida reporter, Fraser A. Sherman has contributed articles to such publications as Newsweek, Boys Life and Movie Marketplace and is the author of three previous film books and more than two dozen published speculative-fiction short stories. He lives in Durham, North Carolina.
