Portia was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, where she currently resides with her husband and two sons. Growing up, Christmas traditions were an important part of her childhood. Now, as a mother, she takes joy in recreating those Christmas traditions for her family. When asked by her sons, “Where does Santa live?” Portia became inspired to write a magical tale about a young boy’s adventure to the North Pole on Christmas Eve. Portia invites her readers to embrace the spirit of Christmas by joining this fun-filled tale of a night at the North Pole.Cynthia Meadows, a native Texan, draws and paints on anything she can find. Whether it was cartoons on the sides of her homework in elementary school, paintings as Christmas gifts, murals or faux finishes on walls, or illustrations and storyboards for advertising agencies, she has continually decorated the world.
