This directory lists contact information for public officials and private sector organizations and individuals who influence public policy in New York. It includes information for officials in the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of the state's government; agencies and officials in key public policy issue areas, such as agriculture, education, health, crime, elections, human rights, social services, transportation, and veterans and the military, as well as private sector experts and advocates; public information offices, US Congress membership and committees, county government, and municipal government; political parties, lobbyists, and political action committees; chambers of commerce and economic and industrial development organizations; newspapers, news services, radio and TV stations, and magazines; and state colleges and universities and public school districts. The final section consists of biographies of lawmakers. The directory also includes a list of cash disbursements by department and maps of population, race, employment, home value, education, income and voter distribution, and congressional districts.
