Karen Scrivener is Professor of Construction Materials at Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne, Switzerland, and co-editor with Francis Young of Mechanisms of Chemical Degradation of Cement-Based Systems, also published by Taylor & Francis.
Francis Young is Professor Emeritus at University of Illinois, USA and former Associate Director of the NSF Centre for Advanced Cement-Based Materials, USA
