ICTY is the acronym for the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia. This volume contains 55 contributions based on presentations at an eponymous conference held in The Hague, February 2010, co-sponsored by ICTY, the Government of the Netherlands, and the Sanela Diana Jenkins Human Rights Project at UCLA School of Law. Jenkins, the Project's founder and a refugee from the 1992-1995 Bosnian conflict supplies the preface, noting that "The Tribunal's legacy is not limited only to the law it has created, those it has convicted, or the stories that can now be authoritatively told about what happened in Bosnia and the rest of the former Yugoslavia--the stories of my youth. Its legacy includes much more, most important of which are the existence and operation of national war crimes courts in the region, and the affirmation that the outside world cares about what happened there."
