商品簡介

This collection of essays--written by economists, historians, theorists, and activists--brings together an amazing array of perspectives on economics seen through the lens of an anarchist, anti-capitalist analysis. The essays advance a substantive understanding of economics that interrogates formal concepts, like the market and prices, as well as the ecological and social contexts often neglected by conventional economic analysis. They are organized into six sections: history, analysis, critique, practice, resistance, and vision, bracketed by an introduction by the editors and an afterword by Parecon economist Michael Albert. Essay topics include rethinking the history and origins of economics as a discipline, capitalism in the first decade of this century, Proudhon's contribution to economics, anarchist economics in practice, lessons from worker-occupied factories in Latin America, and even a critical look at class as an economic category.
