商品簡介

In a book derived from a convocation hosted by the Organization for Autism Research, Gerhardt (OAR; McCarton School, New York) and Crimmins (public health/leadership in disability, Georgia State U., Atlanta) present a review of issues, research, and interventions relating to social skills and adaptive behavior in persons with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Representing the perspectives of researchers, service providers, and families dealing with ASD, contributors discuss personal experiences, symptoms, skills development, evidence-based and pseudoscience-based intervention models, and recommendations for future research.
