When King Frederick and Queen Gwen have triplet daughters, they're delighted. However, there's a bit of a muddle when they're born, and no one knows which one is the eldest, and therefore the heir. So when King Frederick wants to retire, he has to decide who will be Queen. Will it be Princess Hazel, Princess Apple, or Princess Cherry? Frederick had a very helpful instruction book when he first became king and he knows how important it is to use instructions and rules wisely. So he sets his daughters a test—whoever can bake a cake, following the instructions but also adding their own flourish, will rule after him. The princesses all have their individual qualities—but who has the right recipe to rule?
作者簡介
Pippa Goodheart lives in Leicester with her husband, 3 daughters, 1 dog, 1 cat and 3 chickens. She started her career by writing a story for the Kathleen Fidler Competition and is generally inspired by life. Pippa has previously been short listed for The Kathleen Fidler Award, The Smarties Prize and The Young Telegraph Book of the Year. In her spare time, Pippa likes to read, go for walks and chat with friends. Jan McCafferty has illustrated many books, including various books for Franklin Watts, OUP and Usborne. She has also illustrated a previous Blue Banana - Magic Lemonade by Joyce Dunbar. She lives in Manchester.
