商品簡介

The economic realities of globalization have led to the displacement of local communities and the undermining of local ecosystems, highlighting the commonly linked conflicts involving human rights and the environment. Zarsky (co-founder of the Nautilus Institute for Security and Sustainable Development) presents nine case studies that explore these conflicts in developing countries in Latin America, Africa, and Asia. The case studies look at conflicts that revolve around three broad axes: energy and mineral development, the development process as a whole, and land rights. Distributed by Stylus. Annotation c.
