Dr. Gary Lawson is coordinator of the Au.D. program in the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology at Western Michigan University. Prior to a long tenure at Western, Dr. Lawson worked at two other universities and in a public school system. His professional experiences include teaching, supervision of student clinicians, coordination of clinical services and practicum, participation in research, provision of audiologic services, and consulting.
Dr. Mary Peterson is an audiologist with 23 years of clinical experience in a variety of clinical settings. She received her master's degree in 1986 and her doctor of audiology degree in 2007.
She joined the clinical faculty at Western Michigan University in 2005, where she teaches courses in geriatric and rehabilitative audiology and in cochlear implants in the Doctor of Audiology program. She also works with students in their clinical experience in the audiology clinic at the university. Dr. Peterson continues to be actively involved in the dispensing of hearing aids, evaluation of individuals with auditory processing disorders, and rehabilitation of individuals with hearing loss, including cochlear implant recipients.
