There are 14 chapters on pediatric diseases and conditions, including speech and language development, pediatric voice disorders, and evaluation of the child in respiratory distress. Thirty chapters are devoted to all aspects of neoplasms, with individual chapters on diagnosis, immunological aspects, molecular biology, various cancers and their treatment with radiation and chemotherapy. The chapters are clearly organized and heavily illustrated with superb drawings and clinical photographs. Each chapter concludes with a lengthy bibliography. Editors Fried (Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center, NY) and Ferlito (U. of Udine School of Medicine, Italy) are joined by two assistant editors: Alessandra Rinaldo (also at the U. of Udine) and Richard V.
