Collaborative Grantseeking: A Handbook

With the recent economic downturn, nonprofits need grants more than even unfortunately, this exigency coincides with a time when foundation resources have declined. Foundations are encouraging collaborative grantseeking as a way for nonprofits to get the best results out of funding efforts, but this methodology is only effective if pursued properly. Jeremy T. Miner, MA, is president of Miner and Associates, Inc., a nationwide consulting firm that provides grantseeking and fundraising services to nonprofit organizations, and is director of grants and contracts at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Eau Claire, WI. Lynn E. Miner, PhD, is founder and principal of Miner and Associates, Inc. and directs the office in Milwaukee, WI. He has been an active grantseeker in academic, healthcare, and other nonprofit environments for the past four decades. Miner coauthored Greenwood's Proposal Planning and Writing and Praeger's Models of Proposal Planning & Writing and coedits Grantseeker Tips, a free, biweekly electronic newsletter on successful grantseeking.
Jerry Griffith, PhD, is a principal of Miner and Associates, Inc., who specializes in the psychological and management aspects of grantseeking, and directs the office in Knoxville, TN. Griffith has served as a licensed psychologist and possesses a broad-based background in rehabilitation, health care, management, academia, and psychology. He is a frequent grant workshop presenter and consults with nonprofit organizations and private foundations to pursue grantseeking.
