番荔枝一般以夏期果之新鮮種子培育實生苗繁殖，而於翌年十二月至二月間或苗木落葉後新芽萌發前定植於園間，植後注意灌水，定植後儘量避免再行移植。番荔枝為保留其優良特性，亦可以嫁接法繁殖。番荔枝產期主要配合整枝修剪而進行，分為培養夏期果(正期果)之冬季修剪及生產冬期果(倒頭果)之夏季修剪等一年兩收，與生產一年一收秋期果之春季修剪等。
