作者簡介
Alanna Campbell, MISt is the Public Services Librarian with the Health Sciences Library at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM). She has a B.A. in History with Minor in Biology from Brock University and received her MISt from the University of Toronto. Her research interests include library spaces, user engagement and evidence based medicine. In 2015 Alanna took a six-month research sabbatical focused on library spaces. She visited North American library spaces with varying budgets, specialties and space provisions that had been recently renovated. Additionally, Alanna conducted a survey of AAHSL members who had removed one or more library shelves in the last 5 years to determine the impact on their library spaces, services, usage and more. The results of this study were shared in a poster presentation titled “Less Shelves, More What? How Are Academic Health Sciences Libraries Choosing to Replace Their Shelves?” at the MLA/CHLA joint conference in Toronto, Ontario in May of 2016. Alanna has also presented multiple posters, sessions, a lightning talk and coauthored a journal article on topics related to library spaces, embedded librarianship and mobile technologies.
