His Q Pootle 5 and Q Pootle 5 In Space have sold nearly 1 million copies worldwide. 'Q Pootle 5' is currently airing on CBeebies; there are 52 11-minute episodes. The show has reached 5.48 million viewers in the UK, nearly 10 per cent of the population, with a total of 1.2 million 4-6 year olds, 54 per cent of the demographic. In terms of audience share over the period, 'Q Pootle 5' has ranked top, outperforming even long-running shows such as 'Octonauts' and 'Peppa Pig'. Gorgeous, lush imagery of the show is continued in the illustrations of these books, and Nick Butterworth has put a lot of attention in making sure that they look and feel just right. This is a very boy-friendly book, with its main focus on a carwash for spaceships. But really it's for everyone, and includes a lesson on the importance of teamwork in creative problem-solving. The animated series has been sold to a number of international broadcasters (Australia, European markets), with more on the way.
