A brief introduction discusses the field of aromathematics, which involves aromatic compounds and their biological activities. The first major section of the book then lists the important phytochemicals found in each plant, with quantities listed in parts per million. The second section presents a list of some reported biological activities of those chemicals. A number of non-quantitative ubiquitous chemicals are excluded from the analysis. Quantitative data includes some 500 references on 10, 839 chemicals from 251 assays of 205 unique taxa, combined with 3,324 biological activities and 256 recommended daily allowances and lethal doses.
