SC：Bernheimbeuk住宅的窗戶看起來就像沒有完工一樣。人們可能會期待在窗戶側面看到精確切割的外墻覆層,它的位置要比窗戶朝里幾毫米。不管是從屋內看還是從屋外看,外墻里的窗框都給人半遮半掩的感覺,這些都可以展現出使用材料時忠于材料原貌的原則。外墻鑲嵌的瓷磚也保持著原有的形狀和大小。不會為了填補瓷磚擺放explicit pleasant character： the wood colors the room； the wood gives the room warmth. And it is a room where one wants to be,where one wants to stay. Again,time and resources - place - are the conditions at that moment for coming to a conclusion as such；by finishing the rooms in big construction-multiple～ boards we show that actually the given materiality is already sufficient to cre-ate a pleasant spatiality. The same goes for Rot-Ellen-Berg. It could be seen as struts together with aluminum window frames,also seen in greenhouses. But maybe it could as well be understood from what one sees from the positioning of the rooms defined by the materials,namely the old existing walls,that are not only visible from the outside but also become visible inside the house itself. This is what eventually defines the color,the character,the pleasant feeling of the room. That the struts come to an agree-ment with the rough reality of the house is the case in every as-pect； we like to think that this is also partially regenerating the pleasant aspect. On the other hand,we also like to think that after a while the struts fade away a bit - when sitting in the seat or on the chair-to give way to enjoyment of the pleasant light,or the pleasant perspective upon the surroundings from the new spaces:

SC The windows of the House Bernheimbeuk appear incomplete.One may expect to see the external wall cladding trimmed pre-cisely on the windows' profile standing a few millimeters inwards.The window frame is partially hidden from the outside,and the view to the outside from the rooms as well is partially covered.
