Dr. Beverly Roberts Gaventa is Princeton Theological Seminary's Helen H.P. Manson Professor of New Testament Literature and Exegesis. She holds an M.Div. from Union Theological Seminary in New York and a Ph.D. from Duke University. She is an ordained elder in the Presbyterian Church (USA). Professor Gaventa is editor of the Society of Biblical Literature's Resources for Biblical Studies, a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Biblical Literature, and associate editor of the Catholic Biblical Quarterly.
Dr. David L. Petersen is Franklin Nutting Parker Professor of Old Testament at Emory University in Atlanta. He holds a B.D., M.Phil., and Ph.D. from Yale University and is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA). Dr. Petersen has written, coauthored or coedited numerous books and articles. He was the senior Old Testament editor for The New Interpreter's Bible, and he serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Biblical Literature and the Catholic Biblical Quarterly. Petersen recently served as president of the Society of Biblical Literature.
