台灣在1909年由日本引入，1924年再由美國直接引種栽培，民國40年(1951年)由美國引進9個品種在台東地區試種。民國61年時台東縣栽培面積達1500公頃並在台東縣卑南鄉成立晚崙夏橙專業區，民國63年栽培面積更達3000公頃，惜因64及66年兩次長期大乾旱使柑桔相繼枯死，又因當時產業結構改變，農村勞力轉移至都市，造成果園大量廢耕，產業急速萎縮。目前晚崙夏橙在台灣只及少數零星栽培，主要產地為台東縣，栽培面積約60~79公頃，主要栽培區域則分布關山、東河及成功等鄉鎮，已成為東部計區具特色之農特產品，關山農會並取名為「香丁」。

Taiwan introduced in 1909 by Japan, in 1924 by the American direct introduction cultivation, 1,951 in 1951 introduced 9 varieties by US to plant experimentally again in the Taitung area. 1,972 o'clock Taidong County cultivation area amounts to 1,500 hectares and establishes the late logical sequence summer orange specialized area in the Taidong County inferior Nanxiang, 1,974 cultivations area amount to 3,000 hectares, pities because 64 and 66 years two long-term big droughts causes the sweet orange dry to die one after another, at that time and further because the industrial structure change, the countryside labor force shift to the metropolis, created the orchard massively to leave uncultivated, the industry rapidly withered. Item night before last logical sequence Xia Ch'eng in Taiwan only and the minority fragmentary cultivation, the main habitat is Taidong County, the cultivation area approximately 60~79 hectare, mainly cultivates the region to distribute villages and towns and so on Mt. Guanshan, Dong River and success eastern part, has become counts the area to have agriculture of special product the characteristic, the Mt. Guanshan peasant association and names is "fragrant Ding".
