This book provides an up to date introduction to collecting of Victorian and Edwardian bottles for the newcomer to the hobby or those with a casual interest in the subject. Since the early days of the hobby in the UK in the 1970s, although many books have been written on specific areas of the hobby, little has been written of a general nature for newcomers for over 50 years so this book is long overdue. This book provides general information on the main types of bottle found, where to find them and what to do with them once you do. The informative text is supported by over 300 colour photographs showing examples of bottle types in a more visually informative format than earlier books on the subject. Written by a lifelong bottle collector, it manages to squeeze a large subject into a small, affordable book and aims to encourage new collectors to take up this fascinating hobby.
