Eating away at his soul is the same entity that saved him last semester... it's only grown more powerful and vague in nature. This causes him to question whether the source of his powers is something to be feared or praised. Either way, for what's about to come, he needs it, and as he'll soon come to understand, it needs him. Noble in his pursuit to save a soul, at least in his mind, Icarus must face challenges that threaten the very bonds he's only just started to nurture. Can he win this cutthroat competition? Can he bring back the one he's lost? Or will he lose himself in trying, both figuratively and literally?
