This book is a collection of poems inspired by dance performed by the inimitable Contemporary Indian dancer, Astad Deboo. The book presents 56 poems as a tribute to the legend of India, who has enthralled audiences all over the world. In cinema his choreography in movies like Mani Ratnam's Raavan featuring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Vikram Prithviraj Karthik, have left the viewers in awe. Through his original dances on Tagore's poetry, among hundreds of other shows, Deboo has become unforgettable in the history of Indian dance.
The foreword to the book is written by the international poetess, Kavita Ezekiel Mendonca, one of the most well-received, well-read Indo Canadian poet. The book includes some fabulous sketches by Javed Mulani, Mumbai's well known artist along with images and photographs that make the book aesthetically pleasing.
