Arakaki (English, Okinawa Christian U., Japan) does a fascinating job of identifying and analyzing evidentials in Ryukyuan using the Shuri variety of Luchuan typological and theoretical study of grammatical evidentiality. Arakaki examines the marks of evidence that control the source of speaker identification, then analyzes Luchuan grammar the direct evidence of verb morphology, the inferential and assumed evidence, the reportive evidence as a contribution to the study of evidentiality in Luchuan, and the typological and theoretical study of evidentiality as a grammatical category. 作者簡介
Tomoko Arakaki, Ph.D. (2011, University of Edinburgh), is Associate Professor in the Department of English Communication at Okinawa Christian University. She has published several articles, mainly about Luchuan grammar based on original fieldwork, and also currently works on Luchuan revitalization.
