Susan Middleton Elya is the author of many books for children, including Eight Animals on the Town; Eight Animals Play Ball; Oh No, Gotta Go!; and the "Say Hola to Spanish" series. Susan has a degree in Spanish and elementary education. She lives in Los Angeles, California, with her family.
Mercedes McDonald has illustrated a variety of books for children, including Morning in the Garden and How Snake Got His Hiss. She lives in Los Angeles, California, where she teaches painting at the Pasadena Arts Center.
