This title explores the fusing of biology and technology since World War II and its permeation into present everyday life. Smelik (visual culture, Radboud U. of Nijmegen, The Netherlands) and Lykke (gender studies, Linkoeping U., Sweden) present international contributors discussing feminism and the intersection of media, bioscience, and technology, particularly exploring current reconfigurations of bodies and embodied subjects. 作者簡介
Anneke Smelik is professor of visual culture at the Radboud University of Nijmegen, The Netherlands. Nina Lykke is professor of gender studies, Linkoeping University, Sweden, and head of the Nordic Research School in Interdisciplinary Gender Studies.
