DIANA WALLACE is Reader in English and Head of Division of English at the University of Glamorgan, UK. Her publications include The Womans Historical Novel (Palgrave, 2004) and Sisters and Rivals in British Womens Fiction, 1914-39 (Macmillan, 2000) and articles in Gothic Studies, Critical Survey and Studies in the Literary Imagination.
ANDREW SMITH is Professor of English Studies and Co-Director of the Research Centre for Literature, Arts and Science at the University of Glamorgan, UK. His publications include Teaching the Gothic (co-edited with Anna Powell, Palgrave, 2006), Empire and the Gothic (co-edited with William Hughes, Palgrave, 2003), The Edinburgh Critical Guide to the Gothic (EUP, 2007), Victorian Demons (MUP, 2004) and Gothic Radicalism (Macmillan, 2000).
