Presented as a series of interviews with farmers, the work discusses both for profit and non-profit organizations located in urban and rural settings and explores the produce, lifestyles, politics, and environmental stewardship of the small farms at the forefront of the movement. Chapters include numerous color photographs as well as background and statistical information about each of the farms.
