作者簡介
Tom Shanahan is a personal trainer, weight management and sports nutrition consultant with certifications from the American Aerobics Association International and the International Sports Medicine Association. He is also certified as a health coach by the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York and as a meeting facilitator for Yoga of Twelve-Step Recovery (Y12SR). In November of 2017, Tom was elected the Democratic District Leader for Hell’s Kitchen and Chelsea in midtown Manhattan. District Leaders act as direct liaisons between constituents and their elected officials and often organize and advocate on local issues along with other elected officials. He is also a member of the New York County Democratic Committee Executive Board, which is responsible for electing civil and Supreme Court judges in New York County (Manhattan). Tom is currently in the process of creating a free neighborhood legal clinic in Hell’s Kitchen to serve seniors and other low-income residents.In 2003, Tom was a recipient of the prestigious Common Cause Advocate of the Year award, presented to him by George Soros.
