We are seeing the most exciting elevation of women's voices in decades. But how can we ensure this is not only a moment, but a movement for lasting change? Forget the old saying that when a woman climbs the corporate ladder, she needs to send it back down to help another woman climb too. A ladder can only elevate one woman at a time. What's needed is a fishing net to bring up many women together, all supporting each other. When Dr Kirstin Ferguson, a leading Australian company director, decided she'd had enough of witnessing the vicious online abuse of women around her, she began the #CelebratingWomen campaign, profiling two women from all walks of life and from anywhere in the world, every day for a year. The campaign reached millions around the world and caught the attention of Twitter as an example of the collective power of sharing our stories. In Women Kind, Ferguson joins Walkley award-winning journalist and leading commentator on women in the workplace Catherine Fox to bust the harmful Queen Bee myth - the pervasive and baseless idea that women turn on each other for scarce seats at the top table.
